I want to buy a laptop or mac to run Autodesk Maya 2009 unlimited.
can someone please suggest be which is the best laptop or mac for the job.

just wondering, I'm using autodesk 3D Max atm but it's a bit hard to do anything original - although tthats probs coz im just a noob. So which is better to make original shapes and stuff? I wanna make a spaceship for this contest btw, and my design has a lot of curves and detail.

were do i find this program called 3D MAX and is it free?

Can softimage mod tool be available for linux distro's?
Or if not.. then is it compatible with wine?

I have just downloaded a trial and would like to learn how to use it. If anyone knows of a better 3D program let me know, I am willing to try any of them

Okay, so I have GIMP2.6 and I'm using it right now to draw some things for my shop. When I'm finished I save the picture as _____.xcf. Then, after that I convert it to _____.jpg or _____.jpeg I go to Photobucket to upload the photo then I look at it full screen and it ends up losing the sharpness/quality it had before. This also happens when I open the picture on Microsoft Paint. I keep getting irritated because my pictures aren't coming out right. Can someone please help me? The bad quality makes the picture lose its...appeal. ):

ive made stickers on gimp2.6 but i cant make them any bigger then 100x80,if anyone knows how to plz help
