What's the difference between AutoDesk 3d Max and AutoDesk M - Willmon - 01-23-2011 just wondering, I'm using autodesk 3D Max atm but it's a bit hard to do anything original - although tthats probs coz im just a noob. So which is better to make original shapes and stuff? I wanna make a spaceship for this contest btw, and my design has a lot of curves and detail. Re: What's the difference between AutoDesk 3d Max and AutoDe - Garcia - 01-23-2011 Its just Industry choice. They both fall under the Autodesk banner now a-days. 3DSMAX tends to be used by the games industry whilst Maya for Films/TV. I wish they would just merge the features and make 1 do it all application. If you really want to get detail in your model check out Mudbox. You can import 3DSMAX models and 'sculpt' in the detail.
