In 3D max, how do you properly set up a planar object with a simple image on it, and get the alpha channel to properly display the picture without the other part of the picture you want becoming transparent also?
I can get an image to do it just a little, but it's only half transparent now, and self illumination doesn't help much...

i have a picture of a person in front view and side view. and i want to make it a 3d character using blender 3d
In Blender 3d, How do i insert 2 pictures as references in x and y axis? and how do i view them both to trace them with vertices and make a 3d head.
in addition, How will i connect the 3d head that i'll finish with the one that is in Makehuman (a software that create 3d human)

I had just finished my model and then i accidently added a keyframe so the stupid thing spins round and all the parts explode.I didint make it do this does any one know how i can get my first frame and make all the rests the same as that?

I downloaded Blender a month ago so I could learn how to create 3D renderings and characters but I am unsure on how to go about this.I want to create a simulation games with characters that you can change there clothing and features and what not,but I know I need to learn the basics first so can someone give me tutorials on how to create 3D characters?
