How to connect textures or nodes in hypershade in Autodesk Maya?

Depends on what you are doing exactly. What type of connection?

Say you wanted to connect a texture to a shader node. Open the Attribute editor for the shader node, then in the hypershade, drag and drop the texture onto the color attribute of the shader node thaats open in he AE..

Drag and drop is the key point.

Check the Documentation. It will show you.
