Has any one heard of softimage spftware or how it may compar

I'm looking for a bit of graphic design stuff and a friend keeps telling me to get a prgram softimage, but I don't know much of it. So I could use some help with this. Thanks, be well and be safe.

i recommend a program called serif photoplus if you dont want photoshop it is really really easy to use

The only Softimage software I'm aware of is XSI, which is very different from Photoshop.

Softimage XSI is a 3D modeling and animation program, which allows you to create and animate 3D models, such as what are found in video games and movies.

Photoshop is used more for 2D artwork, and can be used to create textures to add to the 3D models created in Softimage.
