Thank you Re: How to I Find the Surface Area of this? - AliciaDietz - 01-30-2011 Well...Sir or Madam.. Surface Area of a Cylinder = 2 pi r 2 + 2 pi r h (h is the height of the cylinder, r is the radius of the top) Surface Area = Areas of top and bottom +Area of the side Surface Area = 2(Area of top) + (perimeter of top)* height Surface Area = 2(pi r 2) + (2 pi r)* h That's how you do it.. Re: How to I Find the Surface Area of this? - RustyCampbell - 01-31-2011 Surface area of rectangular prism less top & bottom = 6 x ( 2.2 + 2.2 + 2.2 + 2.2 ) = 6 x 8.8 = 52.8 Surface area of sphere = 4 x pi x r x r 4 x 3.14 x 1.1 x 1.1 = 15.1976 = 15.2 sq ft Total surface area = 52.8 + 15.2 = 68 sq ft ANSWER |
