Can you prototype on 3d max? Would it give you equations for stress and strain? Or not?

Autodesk 3d Max is a very good piece of software for doing 3d. It has all the capabilities with some differences. It is used in the video game industry for developing models and creating cinema cut-scenes and in architectural visualization.

LightWave 3D is another awesome one and used in many TV series such as CSI, Star trek etc...

Then their is Softimage used in the production of professional films, commercials, video games, and other media etc..

Hope this helps. As for the stress and strain, yes they do it.
