it's a hefty investment ($50) but photoshop classroom in a book is a great resource. it has lots of color pictures and great practice lessons. i use it in my classroom for my photo students all the time. instead of going through a mish mash of online sites that are very disconnected PS classroom in a book gives you a very regimented experience and eash lesson builds upon the last one.

even the tutorials on photoshop are graet. They teach the basics and then you just kinda play around and figure stuff out on your own. Its pretty much how i learned photoshop, and seemed the easiest to me. It lets you have alittle more creatativity later on to since your not limited to what someone said this tool is for, etc.

I'm a photographer and use CS2. If you need any help email me. I also have 6 so I can use almost any version. Best thing, do a websearch for tutorials or tips. Also try this website.

For whatever version of Photoshop you have there is a book. I would HIGHLY recomment the books my Deke McClelland in his Photoshop for Dummies series. He takes you thru all the maze with tools and layers and explains it so you can understand it all. His books should be available at Borders, Barnes and Noble or Amazon.com. He even gives you his e-mail address in the book I e-mailed him and asked a question. It took about a week but he answered me and straightened me out.............
