i have GIMP2. 6 and have heard it can save as SVG with a plugin. How can i get the plugin and how do i use it?

I don't think GIMP can save as SVG, because it cannot create SVG images.
It can export paths as SVG and this plug in is supposed to expand on what it can do.

You dont need a plugin to save as but you might need a program to open the svg file, save as and type in . svg on the end of your file name
