How can I get the box that shows different layers in gimp?

GIMP is the GNU Image Manipulation Program. It is a freely distributed piece of software for such tasks as photo retouching, image composition and image authoring. It works on many operating systems, in many languages.

How can I get the box that shows different layers in gimp?

I have the tool box that has all the brush and such for gimp but the other box that would show the different photo layers just disappeared and I don't know how to get it back. Does anyone know what I can do to get this box to show up again? Thanks.

In GIMP, click Windows < Recently Closed Docks < and choose "Layers, Channels, Paths, Undo . . . "

Don't worry, if you close either of the two docks - that's how you get them back.
